The second Burger King restaurant in Zala County opens

Burger King opened its 57th location in the country, and the second in Zala in Nagykanizsa. The development of the restaurant in the city centre started last July, with more than 30 employees working in the unit, which is the result of an investment of nearly HUF 1 billion. The restaurant in Nagykanizsa is the first in the country to receive a new interior design.

The restaurant chain's newest 302-square-metre unit also has a 90-square-metre terrace and car service.

László Sümegi, president of Fusion Zrt., said in the statement: "Nagykanizsa is the second largest city in the Castle District, a regional centre in terms of education, culture and health, where there has been significant scientific and economic development in recent years, so it was a no-brainer to open our newest restaurant here.

According to public company data, Fusion Zrt., which operates Burger King and Bellozzo restaurants and Anna Cafés, achieved HUF 40.4 billion in 2022, down from HUF 26.8 billion in the previous year, and its profit after tax fell to HUF 2.9 billion in 2022 from HUF 3.3 billion in 2021. The company said it employs 1,700 people.
