He said that sport and culture should be a priority everywhere, not only in Budapest but also in towns like Mélykút. Tomás Kovács, Mayor of Mélykút said that the building, which is modern in all its elements, can serve the creative, entertaining, sporting and recreational people in a complex way.

He stressed that the building contains many symbols of the village, as the wavy line running along the façade represents water, the cane above it the reed, and the openwork floral motifs suggest the motifs of the women who used to live in the village in the old days.

Member of Parliament Gábor Bányai stressed that he hopes that more and more sports will find suitable conditions and training in the sports hall, and that regional sports events will fill the stands of the institution.

The new building, by filling its halls and spaces with public cultural content and life, wants to become a cultural and sports event space not only for Mélykút, but for the whole area
