A new kindergarten centre is being built near Patak in the agglomeration town - the foundations have already been laid

In early September, we reported that a contractor had been selected for the construction of the latest nursery and kindergarten in the wider area of the capital. As we we wrote, the work was undertaken by Épkar Zrt., The new complex will be built on a plot of approximately 12,000 square metres in the eastern part of Biatorbágy, in the immediate vicinity of the Madár-forrás stream, surrounded by green space.

The facility will house four to four groups of kindergarten and nursery school children. It will have a total floor area of around 2,300 m2 and a 400 m2, fully equipped 350-capacity kitchen for families with young children in this popular agglomeration.

Building on solid foundations

Work has already begun: the Épkar Zrt. has recently been updated with new information and photos posted on its Facebook page. As they write, ground reinforcement piling has begun on the Forrás Street site, and the photos show the spectacular work being carried out with the help of machinery.

The new day nursery and kindergarten, which will be completed as part of a complex construction project worth around HUF 2.4 billion, will be a monolithic reinforced concrete building with a flat roof. The one-storey wings will have flat roofs, while the classrooms will have half-slope roofs and the two-storey sections will have gable roofs.

A total of 110 solar panels will also be installed, and a heat pump floor and ceiling heating/cooling system will provide the right climate.
