A new confectionery factory opened in the developing conurbation city

The new Kemenes Cukrász Manufaktúra Kft. plant was officially opened this morning in Páty, west of the capital. As revealed at the event, the HUF 2 billion investment was made possible by a non-repayable grant of HUF 618 million from the state. They started 14 years ago with five people on sixty square metres

Edith Kemenes-Barta, Managing Director of the company, recalled in her welcome speech that the family business was founded in 2011 and since then it is 100% Hungarian-owned.

The company started with five people in a 60-square-metre office and now has more than 300 partners and around 3.5 thousand orders a month. He added that, in addition to the production unit, there are also 9 franchised confectionery shops.

The newly inaugurated plant in Páty was built on a 6085 square metre plot, with a useful area of nearly 2377 square metres

- he said.

Turning to foreign markets

He emphasized that their products are made from natural ingredients, based on homemade recipes, without added preservatives. "Recently we have received several inquiries from foreign partners and chains. We would like to meet this foreign demand, because it is a new challenge, but also an opportunity for growth for the company" - said Edith Kemenes-Barta, who thanked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade for providing the opportunity for the tender that made the investment possible.

The fire didn't stop the company

The event was also attended by Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and Tamás Menczer, local Member of Parliament, who recalled in his speech that after caught fire in Biatorbágy, the family business did not give up, but persevered and continued its work. Thanks to this, the opening ceremony was not about loss, but about success, victory and new investment, he added.

With regard to the new confectionery factory inaugurated in Páty, he pointed out that the investment is also expected to create 15 new jobs.
