The protective cover has come off the finish line - the Hungarian Grand Prix is getting closer

According to the post, the finish line has been restored to its former glory, with the protective cover that had been covering it for months removed. According to the statement, the pits are almost ready for the teams to move into, and the main grandstand could soon be filled with spectators.

It was again stressed that 1200 people a day are working on the Hungaroring, where the preparations for the Hungarian Grand Prix are slowly coming to the finishing line.

The development of the Formula 1 track in Mogyoród is being carried out by Market Építő Zrt. and Bayer Construct Zrt.. The first phase will be completed in the summer of 2024. The scheduling of the works is of paramount importance, as according to the agreement concluded with the Formula 1 rights holder, there can be no half-finished buildings or construction activities at Hungaroringen during the races.

In the second phase, the main grandstand and the event area will be renewed and the paddock area will be widened for the 2025 Hungarian Grand Prix, with a special focus on ensuring the Hungarian Grand Prix can be held without disruption. The complete renovation of Hungaroring is scheduled for completion in 2026, the track's 40th birthday.
