A new roundabout has improved the safety of schoolchildren in the most populous settlement in the Zsámbék basin

On 27 July, the construction project to rebuild and renovate Kálvin Square in Biatorbágy was inaugurated. The project, which was implemented with state support of HUF 600 million, was carried out by PUHI-Tárnok Út- und Hídépítő Kft., according to the public procurement data.

The improvements include the construction of a roundabout and a crossing with traffic lights. In addition, more than 1,000 square metres of pavement were rebuilt, the stormwater drainage network was completely renovated, and the drinking water network was replaced and upgraded, and the street lighting was renewed.

As previously reported by biatorbagy.hu, the reconstruction was necessary to ensure safe access to the new educational and training institutions. In addition to a new traffic regime, the investment will also change the parking arrangements and renew the mouths of the connecting streets.
