Traffic has taken possession of the northern section of the Soltvadkert bypass, and the date for the opening of the entire road has been set
The northern section of the Soltvadkert bypass has been completed – the entire bypass road, as several times and reported on it several times, and SOLTÚT Kft. is implementing it. This involves the construction of a 53-kilometre-long, 2×1-lane road bypassing Soltvadkert to the north and east, including five roundabouts, a new bridge over a railway line, an 800-metre-long access road, a bicycle underpass, road checkpoints and bus stops will be built, according to the investor's announcement Építési és Közlekedési Minisztérium.
Ten years of long-awaited investment on the home stretch

Following the completion of the section that has just been handed over, the remaining 4 kilometres will be open to traffic by 20 December at the latest. The road will be completed at the end of a ten-year process, during which the city will be able to breathe a sigh of relief from the traffic load typical of motorways, and traffic will be significantly simplified.
How the construction was divided into two phases
With the completion of Phase I, nearly 4.8 km of the 8.8 km long trail has now been completed. The 2×1 lane section has been constructed with a pavement width of 7.5 m and a crown width of 12 m and a lane width of 3.5 m.
The road starts at a four-way junction, then crosses the Budapest-Kelebia railway line No. 150 on a separate level (we wrote a separate article about the construction of the bridge built here separate article about the construction of the bridge built here). A roundabout junction will also be built at the intersection of the new road and the road leading to Vadkerti Lake, with a separate level crossing for cyclists, as well as at the intersection with main road 54 leading towards Kecskemét.
As part of the development, a road control post, bus shelter and municipal and dirt road crossings crossing the main railway line were also constructed.
How the project will continue
As part of Phase II, construction is underway on two roundabout interchanges on the new trail and 5405 j. Soltvadkert-Kiskunmajsa-Szeged link road and the junction with the main road 53, a cycle path, and municipal and dirt roads crossing the main road.
The net value of the first phase of the project was HUF 9.5 billion, and the total value of the project was HUF 15.8 billion net.
