A handover ceremony was held for a project worth around half a billion forints.

As previously reported, the development of the town centre of Tiszafüred in Szolnok County is continuing progressing in the development of the town centre of Tiszafüred in Szolnok County. Now, following on from previous work, new project elements have been completed with the help of the Abony-based Duna-Tisza Aszfalt Kft. work. A handover ceremony was organised in the afternoon to mark the completion of a significant part of the development (according to previous information, the investment is expected to be fully completed in October ).

Improvements have been going on for years

Imre Ujvári, Mayor of Tiszafüred, spoke about the renewal of the town centre in a broader sense. The main square was inaugurated four years ago, a new doctor's surgery was built in another project and a new market hall in a third.

In the fourth project, the associated traffic management and parking areas were created. The combined result of the four projects was a new city centre, but from Deák Square to Kossuth Square the cityscape was still "retro". Several sections of pavement were renovated, as well as the busiest road, Rét Street, he said.

In his speech, Sándor F. Kovács, Member of the Parliament of the region, praised the developments that have already been implemented in Tiszafüred and those that will be implemented in the future.

The event was also attended by János Lázár, Minister of Construction and Transport, who said, among other things, that he had agreed with the two other speakers to develop the local spa and to establish a swimming pool. In the next year, the plans for the baths will be reviewed, a call for tenders will be launched to see how much it will cost, and they will look at how the training pool can be realised as soon as possible, he said.
