The Soltút project aims to upgrade the road infrastructure in the Iváncsa industrial estate over a two-year period.

Iváncsa is an excellent location for industrial infrastructure, as the geographical features of this town, nestled between the Danube and the M6 motorway, can offer tangible benefits to numerous businesses. Recognising this, the local council established an industrial estate, which will be served by a turbo roundabout and a 2×2-lane main road during the construction of the second phase, which is now getting underway.

1.5 billion forints and a two-year contract are up for grabs in the public procurement tender announced by Építési és Közlekedési Minisztérium public procurement to carry out several kilometres of road improvements.

A new road could be built over a stretch of six kilometres

The road infrastructure development of the Iváncsa industrial estate has reached its second phase, during which a new, two-lane turbo roundabout will be built at the Adony North (No. 50) junction of the M6 motorway to replace the existing roundabout; and a new national road (designated 6210) may be constructed over a continuous 6 km stretch, divided into the following main sections:

  • a new route with a continuous 2×2-lane configuration over a length of 0.66 km;
  • A two-lane, one-way layout involving the complete reconstruction of the existing Kilencedi and Csibavölgyi roads, over a distance of 2.4 km;
  • a new 2×1-lane road layout over a distance of 2.94 km;
  • a dual-lane roundabout and two new single-lane roundabouts are being built;
  • Construction of a new 2×2-lane road over a continuous length of 0.145 km between kilometre markers 0+000 and 0+145 on access road 62110, and construction of a new 2×1-lane road over a continuous length of 0.235 km between kilometre markers 0+437 and 0+672;
  • construction of a new dual-carriageway over a distance of 1.615 km between kilometre markers 1+450 and 3+065,
  • the construction of a new single-lane roundabout junction;
  • finally, the construction of a new 2×1-lane road over a continuous stretch of 1.46 km, with a total of 0.35 km of hard shoulder.

As part of the development of Ipartelepi Road, cycle and pedestrian routes will be constructed along a 2.6 km stretch, complete with street lighting, whilst the connecting dirt tracks will also be upgraded over a total length of 1.4 km. Street lighting will need to be installed along a total of 2.5 km.
