How to guarantee the safe operation of the M85 Vienna-Domb tunnel

In order to inspect, clean and, if necessary, repair the nearly 4000 pieces of equipment and devices operating in the tunnel, it requires the coordinated work of nearly a hundred specialists. During the maintenance, nearly 16,000 square metres (almost 3 football pitches) of wall surface was mechanically scrubbed and the tunnel was cleaned with hand tools in hard-to-reach areas.

They completed a very significant task in one day

The company closed the two tunnels at the same time so that all the work could be done in one day: while cleaning work was being carried out in one tunnel, maintenance was taking place in the other.
