A neglected, run-down area will be developed into a living area with residential, office and commercial functions. HBM has contributed to this by carrying out and undertaking significant specialist civil engineering works on the project.

We have previously written several times about the City Pearl project to revitalise Közvágóhid in the 9th district of the capital. On one occasion, we took the opportunity to discuss in detail the civil engineering works carried out by HBM Soletanche Bachy Kft. with a special focus on sustainability carried out.

The capital reclaims land neglected for decades

The several-hectare site of the former Middle Slaughterhouse Bridge, once an important industrial part of the city, lost all its function by the end of the twentieth century, becoming a derelict warehouse-warehouse area. A comprehensive residential-office-commercial zone concept is currently under construction on the site at Soroksári út, after decades of neglect have rendered many of the buildings on the site uninhabitable and unsalvageable.

When the investor rebuilt and handed over the former reception building of Közvágóhíd in its original form, reported on the developments. This month, new information has also been published in the developer's communication and on the project's official website .

The construction was shown in a series of bird's-eye drone photos, which we also show in this article, and it was stressed that the heatwave of the past few weeks has not slowed down the pace of construction, with both phases of the project going according to plan. And the delivery of Phase A is now less than a year away.
