How a classicist building on the Danube is reborn - video

A spectacular time-lapse video has been posted on Facebook page about the Market Construction Zrt. BEM project. The video shows the different phases of construction from January 2021 to the present day. In the 2.5 years since then, numerous work processes have taken place, and the final outcome is approaching. The BEM Center office building will be handed over at the end of 2023, and the Kimptom BEM Budapest Hotel in the summer of 2024, according to the contractor's social media page.

The facility is owned by the developer Market Asset Management and the lessor Property Market, and was constructed by Market Építő Zrt.. The structure of the building reached its its highest point in April 2023.

Thanks to the investment, the Radetzky barracks will be reborn as a hotel and office building, which will

• 127-room boutique hotel,
• restaurants, bars, cafés,
• community spaces,
• skybar-like roof terrace,
• 402-space underground car park,
• and a day spa as currently planned.

The project has already received international recognition during construction international recognition during construction, winning the Construction and Investment Journal (CIJ) professional award for the best office building development under construction in the over 20,000 m2 category.
