The Tömb 2002 and Euro Campus have worked on the investments.

A press conference was held in Eger on the morning of 7 December to mark the completion of the project to modernise the city's police headquarters and the Füzesabony police station. The county seat with the work of Tömb 2002 Kft. will be carried out, while in Füzesabony with the implementation of Euro Campus Kft., according to public procurement data.

The two investments, which were awarded funding of HUF 810 million under the Environmental and Energy Efficiency Operational Programme (KEHOP), were implemented with the fundamental aim of improving working conditions. A heol.hu reports on the event: energy-efficient use of buildings and developments aimed at saving energy have been implemented. Thermal insulation of the facade, plinth and roof, modernisation of the heating system and the development of renewable energy use also help to reduce carbon dioxide emissions.

Moving towards ideal operation

At the project closing ceremony, Zoltán Nyul, Deputy State Secretary of Építési és Közlekedési Minisztérium said that the past years have highlighted the need to focus on energy, and it is important to "move our buildings towards ideal operation". He stressed that hundreds of energy efficiency projects are being completed across the country, virtually in full, bringing significant savings in running costs.

He also recalled that in the last year, two sectoral regulations have moved forward. The first is the law on the order of public investment, which has been in force since 8 November, and the second is the law on Hungarian architecture, which could be adopted in December. Both laws "will hopefully set a positive direction in this area for many decades to come, he said.

Project series continues in Heves

<In her speech, Erika Kovács, deputy county chief inspector, stressed that the renovation had to be coordinated in such a way that it did not hinder police work and did not conflict with the interests of the contractors.

He also said that the energy efficiency plan for the Heves police station building had been completed, so they hoped that the next site for KEHOP in the county would be that building.
