Scandinavian home furnishing store renovates two of its stores and opens two new ones
JYSK, the furniture and home furnishings retailer, is constantly modernising its stores in line with its new concept. The company has more than 3,300 stores and online shops in 48 countries. In Hungary, the company has 98 stores and employs more than 1,000 people.
Renovations expected to reduce maintenance costs for stores
The 900 square metre store in Szigetvár, like the one in Vecsék, has been given new lighting and simplified the way shoppers find their way around the store. The company focused on energy efficiency during the renovations and bulbs were replaced with LEDs. Motion sensors were installed in the social areas.
The new lighting system in the stores is intermittent, allowing 3-step switching, and the company expects the modernisation to reduce energy consumption by 25 percent.
Try mattress studios' products before you buy
The Scandinavian-backed company has set up mattress studios in its stores, where customers can ask for help from expert advisors and try out the sleep expert's products.
In the revamped stores, accessories and seasonal decorative products have been given more space.
Two new stores to open in March
In addition to the two new store openings, JYSK will open two brand new stores in March, one in Bicske and the other in Várpalota. In addition, the company is continuing to modernise its existing stores, with plans to renew all of the company's stores worldwide by the end of this year, with more than 3,300 units.
