What is being built?
Logistics hall for healthcare
Another structurally complete hall attests to the quality of the work of Market Építő Zrt.. A topping-out ceremony was held in the 15th district of the capital, where the Euromedic hall reached its highest point.
"It is a great pleasure when we reach the highest point in the construction of a building. We usually celebrate this by putting up a bush walk," said Norbert Farkas, technical director of Market, stressing the importance of the moment.
The pharmaceutical logistics hall, with a floor area of around 8,000 square metres, will include a 1,200 square metre gallery area and a further 1,400 square metres of office space, but will also house three cold stores - which, together with the warehouse area, will be available for separate rental. The construction method has been chosen to allow for future expansion (up to 4-5,000 square metres).
As the technical director highlighted, the project's attention-grabbing figures:
- 35 thousand m3 land was moved,
- 18 thousand m2 area has been stabilised,
- The foundation work was completed in 4 weeks and then
- by the following 50th day, the entire reinforced concrete structure of the building was in place.
The project is being carried out jointly by several companies of Market Csoport: in addition to Market, OKM, PREbeton, Moratus, MRKT Padló, MCM Beton and MFW have also been involved.
This year they can pass
The worksite was taken over on 5 December 2023, and it is a major challenge to meet the ever-changing and expanding demands of customers, most of which require rescheduling of previously agreed with contractors
- we learned from Market Építő Zrt.. In addition, the excavation work could only be carried out under archaeological supervision; and since the site is not connected to public utilities, they had to provide electricity and water for the construction in an unconventional way: electricity was provided by a rented aggregator and water was obtained from the nearby MCM concrete plant.
The building is expected to be ready for occupation as early as autumn 2024, and will have high engineering standards throughout due to the specialised product range. The contractor will also have to meet stringent conditions for humidity and temperature control, but the monitoring system will also have to meet the highest safety requirements. This is one of the reasons why Zsuzsanna Tóth, Euromedic's company manager, emphasised in her welcome speech:
"The Euromedic has been serving the Hungarian healthcare sector for 28 years, covering all areas of healthcare. Thank you for the precise and accurate work of Market Építő Zrt., which will help us to be even more successful.
According to the company's website, its Institutional Supply Division has introduced a revolutionary solution by combining the procurement of medical supplies through tenders with a medical stock management system for healthcare institutions. In the period since its creation, Euromedic has become one of the leading players in the sector in Hungary, to the great satisfaction of healthcare providers.
