Modernisation of a 100-seat kindergarten in Mako

With EU support, another kindergarten building will be renovated in Makó, the 271 million HUF reconstruction of the institution in Kassai Street is expected to be completed in 2027 - the local government informed on 26 March. In the town in Csongrád-Csanád county, the renovation of the kindergarten building on Kálvin Square and Hold Street started at the beginning of the year with a budget of around 600 million HUF.

From the roof to the floor

The 100-seat nursery will be upgraded with thermal insulation of the façade, replacement of the external windows and the entire roof structure. A fire alarm system will be installed in the building. The existing canteen kitchen will be renovated and converted in accordance with the legal requirements.

In addition, the electrical network will be upgraded: new switches and sockets will be installed in the classrooms, and energy-saving lamps will be installed in the service rooms. They will also replace the interior tiling, sanitary facilities and paint the rooms and corridors.

The institution's electricity needs will be partly covered by a solar panel system installed on the roof of the building, which will significantly reduce maintenance costs. The building will be fully accessible, including a barrier-free toilet.

The institution also gets new equipment

As part of the project, HUF 30 million will be used to buy furniture, carpets, curtains, outdoor and development toys, gymnastics equipment, kitchen appliances and IT equipment, among other things, the statement said.
