What is being built?
The Hungarian confectionery industry has expanded with a new plant in the agglomeration of Győr
The new Csoki Nyugat Kft. plant in Ikrény, near Győr, was inaugurated on 15 August. The greenfield project is a complex development: in addition to the plant, a wholesale warehouse with IT upgrades has been built.
In a development costing approximately HUF 2 billion, the plant was equipped with an innovative production line, and the entire production process was fitted with precision technology. The 1,200-square-metre plant also houses a fully automated biscuit production facility, which, according to its website, is primarily engaged in wholesale trade.
More than 14 thousand products distributed
István Nagy, Minister of Agriculture, also attended the ceremony on Friday. The Minister recalled that the investment was implemented within the framework of the Complex Development of Food Plants programme. Csoki Nyugat Kft. received almost HUF 550 million in support for the construction of its plant.
According to the Minister, a total of 510 applications worth HUF 396 billion were received, of which the Ministry supported 234 applications worth HUF 190 billion.
At the inauguration of the Csoki Nyugat Kft. plant in Mosonmagyaróvár, Hungary, it was said that the company distributes more than 14 thousand products and employs thirty people. According to public data, the company achieved a turnover of HUF 5 billion 244 million in 2024.
