Strategic expansion at ZalaZONE - further growth of the industrial park

The Northern Industrial Park in Zalaegerszeg has been expanded to 50 hectares with the construction of a new road and the improvement of 7 hectares of public utilities, thanks to a HUF 400 million state subsidy, said the city's mayor, Zoltán Balaicz, at a press conference held on 15 September.

In the area adjacent to the automotive test track, new parcels of land have been developed for investors with state support, and the necessary infrastructure and access road have been built

He explained that the development of the industrial park, which began more than a decade ago, had run out of land available for municipal use, but there was continued interest from investors, which justified the expansion.

Drilling wells to move the project forward

According to public procurement data according to Inter-Tefu Kft.. The development of the area is not expected to stop there: in August, the municipal government announced another – conditional – tender for the development of the northern industrial park in question: this time, among other things, they are looking for a contractor for the deep drilling of a drinking water well (90 metres deep) and blue and grey infrastructure developments.

Companies already established in the industrial park are also expanding

At yesterday's press conference, it was also said that during the development of the northern industrial park, many of the newcomers decided to expand, but the necessary utilities were not fully developed. The current investment is therefore a missing link, as the completion of the utilities, road and street lighting will allow local economic development to continue.
