A 31,000 square metre poultry farm has reached structural completion in Szentes
The topping-out ceremony has been held for Szentes" new poultry plant, according to a press release published on Tuesday on the Market Építő Zrt. website announcement published on the Market Építő Zrt. website on Tuesday. The new, modern and innovative chicken slaughtering and processing plant, equipped with automated technology, has reached the structural completion stage, implemented by the Market and INETON Kft. consortium.
As part of the 10-hectare greenfield investment, a production hall with a floor area of nearly 23,000 square metres and a total floor space of approximately 31,000 square metres will be built, with a maximum height of 16.6 metres.

The structure was built on 13.2 kilometres of piles.
An average of 250 professionals work on the site every day, they emphasise, and then present figures to illustrate the scale of the investment:
- moving more than 60,000 cubic metres of earth,
- Drilling 13.2 kilometres of piles,
- Installation of 3,000 cubic metres of monolithic concrete and 660 tonnes of reinforcing steel.,
- Installation of 1,150 prefabricated concrete elements and 2,200 tonnes of steel structure into the building's supporting structure.
Our newspaper wrote about the project when it was announced at the beginning of the year, back in January, and our colleague was also present at the event. The new Hungerit plant will serve to modernise and automate the company's food processing activities. The facility will operate with closely coordinated processes, from the receipt and preparation of raw materials through processing and packaging to logistics and service areas. Accordingly, the building consists of several units with different functions, requiring different structural solutions and materials.
