Orczy Garden to be revitalised with tree planting

The Ludovica Campus project also places a strong emphasis on the renewal of the green space in Orczy Garden: plans include planting 124 new trees and installing benches, bicycle racks and waste bins. An automatic irrigation system will be installed on the artificial hill, and the trees that were previously cut down will be replaced.

Covered stands and refreshment stands will be available for spectators.

The central element of the investment is a two-storey, detached service building without a basement, which provides the infrastructure necessary for hosting sporting events with a total area of 1,274 m². The ground floor of the building will house a buffet, accessible toilets, changing rooms, mechanical and electrical rooms, and a sports equipment storage room. The upper floor will feature a covered grandstand for 200 spectators and mobile buffet counters. In the second phase, a solar panel system will be installed on the roof of the grandstand.

A modern drainage and irrigation system supports water drainage.

The football pitch will be constructed with a layered base and top layer, and pre-grown sports turf. Drainage will be provided by a drainage system, and irrigation will be carried out by an automatic system. The pitch is surrounded by a 5-metre-high ball catch net, and sports lighting is provided by four 8-8 LED floodlights mounted on 20-metre poles, with an average illumination of 500 lux. The artificial turf training pitch will also be equipped with a modern drainage and irrigation system and a ball catch net fence. The lighting for the training pitch will be installed in the second phase of the project. With the completion of the project, Orczy Park will be expanded with new, high-quality sports and leisure facilities. The aim of NKE is not only to strengthen the university's sports infrastructure with this development, but also to contribute to the renewal of the capital's green spaces and the development of community life.

The final building complex of the Campus will be completed next year.

The development of Orczy Garden is an important part of the investment taking place in the area. The ZÁÉV Építőipari Zrt. is constructing the National University of Public Service, with a floor area of nearly 25,000 square metres new building complex with a floor area of nearly 25,000 square metres It will house the Special Training Centre and the Disaster Management Institute, but the new university complex in Budapest will also include a dormitory and a functioning fire station.
