Replacing the road base to renew roads in Heves county

During the summer, the HE-DO in Ludason, a town of 700 inhabitants in Heves county, started the rehabilitation of roads and drainage systems using EU and Hungarian state funds. The contractor's experts first carried out the basic works on Kossuth Lajos and József Attila streets. In recent years, these streets have fallen into a particularly bad state: the ditches have become muddy, the embankments have become overgrown and the road base has been destroyed," says the report, which HE-DO has published on its website.

New layer of asphalt to help road users

The work involved first cleaning the silted-up ditches, then removing the embankments and replacing the damaged roadbed. In Kossuth Lajos Street, a Ckt road base was laid, on which two layers of asphalt pavement were laid. In József Attila Street, the existing asphalt pavement was provided with levelling and wearing courses. After the new pavements were installed, the streets were made
accessible for road users again across the entire width of the street.

The street dust disappears

As a result of the project, the renovated Kossuth Lajos Street will no longer be plagued by the constant dust pollution caused by crushed stone pavements, which has caused many inconveniences to the surrounding residents. The project will not only improve the aesthetic appearance of the street, but will also directly contribute to traffic safety and comfort.

Another road could be completed this year

The works are expected to be completed by 26 December. The contractor HE-DO is also aiming to complete the renovation of Ady Endre Street ahead of schedule. The rehabilitation of the internal roads in Ludas is more than a transport improvement, it is an important step for the quality of life of the inhabitants of the municipality.
