The Hungarian top manager takes over the South East Europe segment.

On 11 August, the Supervisory Board of STRABAG SE Supervisory Board appointed Péter Glöckler as a member of the Presidium with immediate effect on 11 August, who will take over the management of the south-east segment. This area includes Austria, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania and the south-eastern European markets. He takes over the position from Alfred Watzl, who announced his resignation last week, according to a press release from the group. Péter Glöckler began his career with the group in 2003 as technical manager of the Hungarian concession business. Most recently, he worked as head of the South-Eastern Europe division, overseeing operations in a total of twelve countries.

"Peter Glöckler is not only familiar with the key activities of STRABAG, but has also proven his strategic skills in the restructuring of the Southeast European sector" - Kerstin Gelbmann, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, said on the appointment.

Stefan Kratochwill, President of STRABAG, added: "It embodies our global-local presence and strengthens the Presidency team with this approach."

Commenting on his appointment, Peter Glöckler said:

Péter Glöckler was born in Hungary and graduated with a degree in civil engineering from the Carinthian University of Applied Sciences (Technikum Kärnten). He began his career in Hungarian public road management, then joined STRABAG in 2003 as technical manager in the concession area. In 2020, he was promoted to sector manager for Hungary and most recently was responsible for the entire South-East European sector, managing a total of twelve countries.
