In his speech at the press conference, Attila Balázs, Chairman and CEO of Bayer Construct Zrt., emphasised that the group has now developed capacities that are unique not only in Eastern Europe but in the whole of Europe:

„Ours is the only vertical chain in the construction industry on the continent that operates under one management.”

Attila Balázs said that prefabrication plays a key role in the group's strategy. „Accordingly, the newly built complex houses a bathroom assembly plant and reinforced concrete prefabrication facilities, as well as a carpentry workshop and a locksmith's workshop.”

This capacity will also be sufficient for the development of block 6.

He emphasised that the complex's plants are undergoing closely coordinated BIM-based design work, which is now being carried out in-house.

„Our design capacity has become the largest in the Hungarian market, and our factories have also become the largest in their respective sectors in the Hungarian market.”

He also explained that the group's plants rely heavily on each other's work.

„I would like to highlight our Bay Iron reinforcing steel processing plant, which has a monthly capacity of 8,000 tonnes.” To give an idea of the scale, he revealed that this quantity corresponds to the group's annual reinforcing steel processing. „We built this plant to serve the Paks investment: accordingly, we were able to produce the right amount of raw material for the first concrete pouring at the 5th block under construction.” He added that their capacities will be more than sufficient even for the development of the 6th block.

They are ready to build 4,000 homes per year.

In his speech, he also pointed out that industrialised construction manufacturing not only offers technological advantages, but also plays a key role in addressing the challenge facing the Hungarian housing market: the construction of affordable housing.

„Thanks to this, the Otthon Start Programme can be increasingly successful, and we can maintain a price level for our investments that is still affordable.”

In his speech, he indicated that they have long-term plans and are ready to build 4,000 homes per year. In closing, he thanked the Hungarian government for its support in building the plant, which has enabled them to become strong competitors to multinational companies in the housing construction sector.

The industry generated HUF 8,400 billion in output last year.

In his speech, Péter Szijjártó explained that the Hungarian company has now become one of the leading construction and real estate development conglomerates in Central Europe and indeed the entire continent, covering the entire value chain from start to finish.

He added that the new investment will create two hundred new jobs in Sóskút, further strengthening the construction industry, which is one of the important pillars of the Hungarian economy. „In addition, by investing in renewable energy, it guarantees that it will grow responsibly on the one hand, and on the other hand, it will protect itself from the escalating senseless price changes in the energy market.”

He emphasised that it is an important goal of the government to improve the competitiveness of the Hungarian construction industry and to make as many high-quality construction materials as possible available here that are produced from domestic raw materials and manufactured domestically.

„The Hungarian construction industry is an important pillar of the Hungarian economy, employing 350,000 people and generating HUF 8,400 billion in production value last year,” he emphasised.
