Óbuda Group expanded with a professional community space – the Óbuda Loft Talks event series has begun
The working environment of Óbuda Group has been expanded with another multifunctional space, the Óbuda Loft event venue. Located at the intersection of Hévízi út and Hunor utca in Budapest, the space, housed in a more than 100-year-old historic building that once functioned as a roller mill, serves primarily as a modern venue tailored to our own needs and those of professional events. It also connects flexibly to the other elements of the Óbuda Campus – the headquarters on Hévízi út, the Architect Studio on Hunor utca and the Újlaki Építő office on Kunigunda út.
The aim of the investment is to create an inspiring, multifunctional space that supports the day-to-day work of the group of companies and serves as a venue for internal professional events, workshops, community programmes and external events.
The design of Óbuda Loft was realised through close cooperation between the group's designers, interior designers and engineering teams. The project was not only aimed at creating a new event venue, but also embodies the complex mindset in which the built environment, function, usability and environmental impacts appear as a unified whole.
Circularity and adaptability
The development was realised by renovating a historic building, in what was then unused commercial space, extending the building's life cycle by several years or even decades. The design of the space deliberately prioritised long-term functionality over simplicity: Óbuda Loft was not designed for a static function, but as an adaptive space that can be flexibly transformed and reinterpreted according to its current use, thus ensuring its sustainable operation.
Versatile, agile space
With its flexible furniture and easily adaptable layout, the venue is equally suitable for large-scale meetings, presentations, workshops, exhibitions, community events, or even community-based, lounge-style work.
The loft-style interior is defined by industrial and vintage elements, the character of the original brickwork, and targeted acoustic solutions. The space is complemented by inspiring artistic elements and distinctive, bar-style built-in kitchen furniture, which also supports high-quality catering functions. The modular outdoor furniture on the covered terrace further enhances the communal nature of the space and its agile layout.
Óbuda Loft Talks has begun
In parallel with the renewal of Óbuda Loft, Óbuda Group launched a new series of professional events called Óbuda Loft Talks. The aim of the programme series is to provide professional opportunities based on joint thinking for the company's partners and industry players.
During the first sessions, participants attended presentations on current industry issues, project solutions and innovations, followed by informal discussions providing opportunities for professional dialogue and networking.
Long-term professional platform
The group's goal is for Óbuda Loft to operate as an independent professional platform in the future: an inspiring space that regularly hosts high-quality events and collaborations.
The Óbuda Loft exemplifies the Óbuda Group's approach to interior design and planning, as well as its philosophy of prioritising the creation of a sustainable, flexible and long-term functional built environment.
