What is being built?
Construction of a sports hall can start in a village near Tatabánya
The local government is building a multi-purpose sports hall of around three thousand square metres in Környe, with an investment of almost two billion forints.
It will also be equipped with solar panels and energy storage equipment, built next to the school
The mayor of the municipality in Komárom-Esztergom County reported on the project to MTI after the construction contract was signed. According to the data from the previous public procurement data, SZILVÁSI Építő Kft. will construct the complex based on the public procurement announced last year.
According to Mayor László Beke, the investment will be made on the municipal land next to the school.
The facility will provide space for students„ daily physical education classes, but can also be used as a standard handball and basketball court, as well as for indoor football. ”The hall can also be used for municipal and civic events. Solar panels and energy storage equipment make the facility economical to run," he added.
Part of the industrial park in Tatabányi also belongs to Környe
László Beke said that the municipality has set aside a sum for the construction of the hall in every budget for ten years. The idea was to invest without borrowing, which the village could do on its own.
The last expansion of the town's outdoor sports centre in Környe was a year ago. At that time, seven new changing rooms, a warm-up room, offices, a gym and a club room were built with HUF 637 million.
The municipality near Tatabánya has entered into a tax administration association with the county, as part of the Tatabánya industrial park is located in the administrative territory of Környe. The park employs 15,000 people from a number of global companies, and 40 percent of the local tax revenue from these companies goes to Környe.
