The Duna Aszfalt and the Strabag between Szentes and Hódmezővásárhely have been completed with a renewed road

The renovation of the 4.4-kilometre section of road 4521 connecting Szentest Mindszent and Hódmezővásárhely has been completed. The project, which was completed with EU support at a cost of HUF 686 million, was handed over on 10 August, according to Magyar Közút Nonprofit Zrt. As previously mentioned, the track running along the Szegvár-Mindszent-Hódmezővásárhely route has been renovated as follows:

• In the Szegvár and Mindszent area Duna Aszfalt Zrt. worked between sections 10+105 and 13+056,
• while in and around Mindszent the Strabag Általános Építő Kft. was the contractor between sections 14+170 and 15+596.5.

According to the announcement, the road reconstruction is part of a wider project package called Transport Development in Csongrád County III, which will be implemented with a total gross grant of HUF 1.5 billion from the European Union.

As part of the reconstruction, the experts took care of the profiling of the existing road surface, replacing the entire road structure in the necessary places, then an asphalt levelling layer was built, followed by an asphalt wearing course and a new road surface. Replacement of KRESZ signs and painting of new permanent pavement signs was carried out.
