New impetus for the Debrecen-Nyíregyháza expressway link

Previously we reported that the No. 4 main road between Debrecen and Nyíregyháza would be upgraded to four lanes. According to information from dehir.hu, the participation phase of the conditional design public procurement procedure Építési és Közlekedési Minisztérium conditional design public procurement procedure was successful.

Five companies responded to the call for tenders: Pannonway Építő Kft. from Zalaegerszeg Pannonway Építő Kft. consortium from Zalaegerszeg and the Cívis Komplex Mérnök Kft. consortium, as well as four Budapest-based design companies, UNITEF’83 Technical Design and Development Zrt., FŐMTERV Engineering Designer Zrt., the UTIBER Road Investor Kft., and RODEN Engineering Office Kft. Építési és Közlekedési Minisztérium invited all five applicants to submit bids.

New track, separate level junctions and structures on the 35 km section

As we have already written, the winning company will have to prepare the permit and design plans for the creation of a 2×2 lane road link of about 35 km of continuous length, of which 10 km will be on existing tracks and 25 km on new ones.

The section affected by the development will run from the junction of the main road 354 - Debrecen eastern bypass to the junction of the main road 4 - M3 motorway

• designed with 6 separate level nodes and associated sub-nodes,
• and 3 two-lane roundabouts,
• with 19 artificial discs according to the parameters of a 2×2 lane suburban primary road,
• by replacing all the utilities concerned
• and obtain the necessary permits.

Debrecen gets a new engineering site

The successful tenderer will have to design the documentation for the reinforcement and widening of the section (200 m) between the junction of the main road No 4/Oláhrét street and the railway crossing at the section 2606+63 hm of the railway line No 100.

Part of the tender is the preparation of a preliminary environmental assessment document for the new road link between Highway 4 and the 49101 j. road at Hajdúhadház and the obtaining of the related decision. The route is expected to run for 3,200 m.

The project will also include the construction of a complex engineering site in Debrecen, with an expected 1500 m² of total useful floor area office building, 1500 m² of useful floor area workshop and 1500 m² of useful floor area salt storage.

By the way, the government has declared the four-laning of the main road 4 between Debrecen and Nyíregyháza a priority investment in the national economy.
