The Up-Tech Kft. from Orgovány could modernise the facilities at the University of Veterinary Medicine’s Equine and Farm Animal Clinics and its teaching farm.

Dóra Major, named after the renowned farmer Sándor Dóra – who was also a world champion clay pigeon shooter – offers students an insight into virtually every aspect of agriculture. Sándor Dóra settled on his estate in Üllő around 1964. It was his legacy that laid the foundations for the area’s agricultural significance.

In 1990, it became the Experimental Institute of the University of Veterinary Science; today, it is much more than just a simple farm, as the estate is not only home to clinical patient care, university teaching and research, but also serves as an equestrian venue complete with pastures, picturesque landscapes and outdoor riding arenas.

The roads in Dóramajor, located 34 kilometres from Budapest between Üllő and Ócsa, are to be upgraded at a cost of approximately 250 million forints by Up-Tech Kft., as per the public procurement notice. The main scope of the works:

  • Renovation of roads, pavements and kerbs to a thickness of 1.6 metres, totalling 6,226 m3 in quantity.
  • Laying of 8 cm thick paving stones or asphalt, including sub-base and joint filling: 1,695 m2-en.
