Pre-manufacturing from close-up? Here's the perfect opportunity!
This autumn, INETON Kft. is organising three training courses at its Alsónémedi site, offering excellent opportunities for construction designers. We spoke with István Csúsz, Business Development Director, about the upcoming half-day free event, which will take place on Thursday, 9 November.
It's not just a demonstration
"The theme of the professional event accredited by the Hungarian Chamber of Architects is BIM-based prefabricated accelerated structural engineering," the expert told us. "It is aimed at architects and structural engineers, structural engineers in structural offices and general design engineers."
The manager described the added value of the professional day as follows: „Participants will learn about the operation of BIM-based production. This project starts at the very beginning with INETON: we already prepare our quotations using a BIM model, and we base our pricing on this. Engineers can familiarise themselves with this BIM-based product design and view the product designs that we can transfer digitally to a machine without printing them out. The machine then performs the formwork based on this, and steel processing is also carried out based on this. Furthermore, concrete mixing is also carried out based on the information from the BIM model.”
The INETON Kft. will dedicate three events to the above objectives, the first of which took place on 11 October, so the Business Development Director was able to comment on this. "We were delighted not only to have a presentation, but also to have had a very good discussion," he stressed. "So we got feedback on how designers could make this system even more efficient, what ideas they have on the design side. They found the event very useful, acknowledging that they hadn't seen this kind of technology before."
This will increasingly be the expectation
The day started with a technology presentation on the INETON and the technology at the factory in Alsónémed, followed by a plant tour. "As far as I can see, the presentations have sparked the imagination of the participants as to how they could use this knowledge, even in their current projects."
At the next meetings, which will be held on November 9 and December 7, István Csúsz gave a succinct message: "Prefabrication is the future, so we need to learn about this technology as soon as possible. Prefabrication will play an increasingly important role: its application will be increasingly demanded by investors and contractors from designers."
While production can be standardised, products are unique
In particular, he pointed out that the technology seen in the INETON represents a new kind of prefabrication. "Here, there is a huge emphasis on uniqueness and we are not thinking in templates. With us, a designer can learn how to combine typified production with unique elements. The manufacturing process is very standardised, but the resulting products are completely unique. There is no module system and no template park, products are made by a robot according to individual needs.
Concluding on the remaining events, he said the aim is for participants to go home satisfied with the new tool they have gained for structural design solutions that will help them in their work in the future. "It is important to underline that during these days they will learn a solution that is already very widely used in Europe. What we have to see is that in Northern and Western Europe, the application rate of prefabricated structures is already much higher than the application of monolithic structures."
Details of the professional day and how to apply are available to interested parties on this website.
