The University of Pécs expands with an innovative health centre
An innovative new health centre is being established at the University of Pécs. According to public procurement data, the PTE-ÁOK Engineering Medical Centre will be built by the winning bidder, DENCO Kft., for a net contract value of HUF 648 million.
The building is being repurposed with new functions
The investment will be carried out in Pécs, near the building of the Faculty of General Medicine of the University of Pécs, at 5 Honvéd Street, in the currently unused part of the building. It will be rebuilt with a new function, and in the future, the building will serve as offices, service facilities, warehouses and workshops.
The public procurement reveals that the development will result in the creation of a new service facility that will deal with 3D printing on the university campus and related developments.

In addition to this, the animal house feed storage warehouse connected to the building will also be converted, which is located on the ground floor of the southern wing of the existing building. The connecting external areas will also need to be rebuilt in connection with the developments.
The contracting authority previously launched the public procurement procedure as a conditional tender. However, according to the recently published announcement, the conditions have now been met: the contracting authority already has the building permit and will finance the construction costs entirely from its own resources.
