Raiffeisen's new Burgenland headquarters designed according to green standards by CÉH zRt.
The concept for CÉH zRt. was developed for a restricted design competition for Raiffeisen Bank Burgenland's new regional headquarters in Eisenstadt.
The design company can be found on Facebook at post on Facebook, one of the key requirements of the competition was the use of sustainable design solutions.
The concept targeted 900 points and a GOLD* level in the Austrian klimaaktiv certification system, and the building's energy certificate was also prepared.
During the design process, particular emphasis was placed on:
- utilisation of rainwater;
- passive, external shading;
- and the use of wooden roof structures.
The Austrian partner office Architekt DI Anton Mayerhofer Ziviltechniker GmbH also involved additional Austrian experts specialising in sustainability and rainwater management in the design competition.
*„klimaaktiv” is the Austrian Federal Government's climate protection initiative. The programme is financed and managed by the Federal Ministries responsible for climate protection, energy and mobility. GOLD is the programme's highest rating, which a building receives if it achieves the highest possible level of sustainable, energy-efficient and resource-saving architecture in terms of design, construction, use of materials (renewable and recyclable), interior comfort and energy consumption. This can be as high as the maximum 1000 points.
