Traffic in the Gyöngyös area moves forward with new roundabouts

The construction of the Gyöngyös Western Bypass, which is being built by HE-DO and Colas Út Építőipari Zrt., will reach an important milestone in the coming weeks.

The new roundabouts for the Gyöngyös Western Bypass are nearing completion, magyarepitok.hu reports. As previously reported, Phase II of the Gyöngyös Western Bypass is being built by a consortium of HE-DO and Colas Út Építőipari Zrt..

Three roundabouts built not far from each other

The western bypass of Gyöngyös to be developed is a 4,800 m long section of road, which connects the 2406 connecting road from Gyöngyös to Gyöngyöspata and the 3203 connecting road from Gyöngyös to Gyöngyöshalász.

The bypass passes through the administrative areas of Gyöngyös and Nagyréde. Three roundabout junctions have been built close together on the new route:

  • the first one near the DIY store in Gyöngyös,
  • the second at the junction of the main road 3 and the bypass,
  • while the third is at the junction of the Southern External Boundary Road and the 3203 link road, at the southern end of the bypass.

Final landscaping is underway

As part of the ongoing works, a 500-metre stretch of the main road No 3 has also been upgraded. According to information from magyarepitok.hu, the finishing works are already underway at the roundabout junctions and the associated reconstructed sections.

In doing so

  • the final landscaping is underway,
  • pavement signs are painted,
  • the roundabout on the main road 3 will be completed,
  • arrange the horizontal and radial surfaces,
  • and they will also carry out grassing and planting.

Not long to wait until the market launch

The opening of the road bypassing Gyöngyös from the west will take place later.

  • 24 000 cubic metres of earth were used to build the embankments,
  • 2520 cubic metres of CKT concrete were also installed,
  • plus 5250 tonnes of asphalt, 2500 metres of kerbing and 1215 square metres of paving stones.
