The investment project, which will be carried out in accordance with the HE-DO design, will also create green spaces and new cycle paths alongside the road.

The road surface and pavements will be completely renewed on one of Újpest's main transport corridors. According to announcement BKK, a 1.8-kilometre section of road south of Görgey Artúr Street, all the way to the district border, will be rebuilt.

Following the public procurement procedure, BKK and HE-DO signed a contract for the renovation, with a net value of HUF 920 million without a reserve fund. The funds necessary for the investment will be provided by the Budapest Metropolitan Municipality as part of the Road Renovation Programme.

Motorists will be able to use the new road in the summer

Road construction can begin in spring, after the necessary preparatory work has been completed and temperatures have risen above freezing, and is expected to be completed in the summer of 2027.
