The project manager of Láng Negyed won the Female Business Personality of the Year award.

The award was given for his role in managing one of the largest urban development projects in Hungary.

The Üzlet portal announced its first vote in 2025, with the aim of establishing a tradition, in which it sought out this year's outstanding business achievements together with its readers. In various categories, they recognised leaders and businesses who set an example in the domestic economy through their work. The winners in each category received their awards at a ceremony in mid-December.

The winner of the Female Business Personality of the Year category, Zsanett Rózsahegyi, project manager of Láng Negyed, whose career and achievements were presented in detail on the portal. We have previously reported on the project in our newspaper reported on the project.

The businesswoman is one of the most talented young leaders in the domestic property development sector and the operational manager of one of the country's most complex and largest urban development projects. She is responsible for the strategic decisions, business plans, financing structure and overall operational management of Láng Negyed, which includes more than 2,600 apartments, 68,000 square metres of office space and the new headquarters of World Aquatics.

Conscious decisions in a sector considered „masculine”

In an interview with Üzlet, Zsanett Rózsahegyi talked about how she chose her career path and how she discovered the construction industry. As she put it, she did not originally plan to go in this direction; the profession came into her life during a summer job while she was studying for her master's degree. Later, however, she found herself in a situation where she had to choose between her previous plans and the work she had grown to love.

In the end, he decided on construction, and he has never questioned that decision since. He says that even during the most stressful periods, he is confident that he is in the right place and cannot imagine doing any other job he would enjoy more.

„In my opinion, success consists of three things: internal motivation, perseverance and conscious willpower. If you commit yourself, take responsibility and see through what you have started, sooner or later you will see results – regardless of which gender you belong to. Confidence comes from results: from proving yourself again and again through your performance.”

Complexity, systems thinking, value creation

Regarding the scale and complexity of Láng Negyed, the project manager emphasised that such a development requires both strategic thinking and detailed operational management. Coordinating the various processes, participants, deadlines and interests requires constant attention, while also responding to changes in the market environment.

As he put it, the goal is not merely to realise the investment, but to create a sustainable, economically viable and high-quality urban fabric that represents real value in the long term.

Data and people in future urban development

In response to a question from AzÜzlet, Zsanett Rózsahegyi also mentioned that Láng Negyed goes beyond classic property development: it plays a role in shaping the city. Their goal is to transform the former brownfield site into a people-friendly, community-oriented neighbourhood that offers stable quality and a liveable environment.

In his opinion, data and people are the two key elements of future urban development. Data-driven solutions – such as the digital twin city approach or prefabricated technologies – can significantly increase the efficiency of planning and implementation. At the same time, however, the role of human presence is also becoming more important: personal encounters, community spaces and everyday connections are what make a neighbourhood truly liveable.

According to the project manager, good urban development is ultimately about giving more time and space to what really matters to the people who live there.
