Hungary's coolest residential parks compete against each other

The registration period for the Residential Park of the Year competition has closed, and now the public's votes are being awaited: a total of 47 residential parks are competing in two categories. Public voting will continue until 5 February, and anyone can cast their vote for the project they believe best embodies a high-quality, liveable and sustainable living environment.

Developers are becoming increasingly conscious of sustainability

The announcement sent to our newspaper quoted the managing director of Office of the Year Kft.. „The aim of the competition is to make domestic residential park developments comparable and to highlight the differences between them from a professional point of view,” said Dániel Fodor. „Based on the entries, it is clear that developers are becoming increasingly conscious of liveability, technical solutions and long-term operation,” he emphasised.

„The competition thus not only provides feedback to the market, but also offers guidance to homebuyers.”

The competition reaches its conclusion at a large-scale exhibition

The results of the public vote, together with the evaluation of the professional jury, will determine the final outcome. The judging panel consists of experts from the fields of property development, architecture, urban development and finance, who

• architectural and technical quality,
• supporting liveability and residential communities,
• sustainability and long-term value retention,
• and will decide on the title based on market realities and innovation considerations.

The results of the competition will be announced at the Lakópark XPO on 20–21 March, where professional conferences, an awards ceremony and programmes aimed at homebuyers await those interested. However, public voting is still open until 5 February, so everyone can have their say on where we would like to live in the future.
