Healthcare and light industry plants are being built in Komárom-Esztergom and Csongrád-Csanád counties, and a software development company is establishing a new base in Budapest.

Three new American investments are coming to Hungary, announced Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, on Wednesday in New York. The minister said that final agreements on new developments would be signed with the heads of three American companies during the day.

„The three investments represent a total value of 21.5 billion forints, to which we are adding four billion forints in government support, creating more than two hundred new, highly skilled, high value-added jobs.”

Becton Dickinson, one of the world's leading manufacturers of medical instruments and devices, is building a sterilisation plant in Környén to complement its syringe factory, the only one of its kind in Central Europe.

Scrub Daddy, a manufacturer of washing sponges and washing pastes, is building a factory in Mártély, near Hódmezővásárhely, from where its products will be exported to more than forty countries.

Formlabs is bringing an investment specifically aimed at software development to Budapest. This company is involved in 3D printing. „When it comes to 3D printing, the question is always how far the size of these 3D printers can be increased. The necessary software development work will be carried out in Hungary,” explained Péter Szijjártó.
