The spire of the Roman Catholic Church of Prince Saint Imre in Döbrököz has been renovated with state funding. The 25 million forint investment serves to preserve one of the most significant architectural elements of the town.

The Hungarian government allocated 25 million forints in state funding for the renovation of the spire of the Prince Saint Imre Church in Döbrököz. The work was carried out by Ócsay Profi Templomtorony Kft. . The aim of the investment in Tolna County was to protect the structure of the tower and preserve the distinctive appearance of the building in the long term.

The renovated spire was welcomed with a Holy Mass

The completion of the renovation was marked by a festive mass celebrated by László Felföldi, Bishop of Pécs. Following the event, Miklós Soltész, State Secretary for Church and Nationality Relations at the Prime Minister's Office, emphasised:

Saving the tower is an important step in the process of completely renovating the church, which may continue with further developments in the future.

Krisztina Csibi, Member of Parliament for the region, Attila Orbán, President of the Tolna County Assembly, and Edit Farkas, Mayor of Döbrököz, also spoke at the ceremony. It was noted that, following the renovation of the church's bell and organ, which were funded by donations, the restoration of the spire is another important step in the preservation of the building.

The neo-Romanesque, three-nave church, built in 1902, was designed by Imre Ágoston Kirschstein, and its size and architectural design still define the image of the town today.
