The SZABADICS ROMANIA can provide water supply and automated control for four settlements in Bistrița-Năsăud County.

The county seat of Beszterce-Naszód lies in a forest-dominated landscape in the valley of the Beszterce River. Beszterce, one of the seven Saxon seats in the north-eastern part of Mezőség, is still an area with a mixed population and significant cultural and economic importance, whose water system is managed by AQUABIS S.A.. The company that maintains the waterworks public procurement procedure for the rehabilitation and modernisation of the drinking water supply and wastewater treatment infrastructure in the area, which was won by a consortium led by SZABADICS ROMANIA SRL consortium (with the participation of SZABADICS Építőipari Zrt. and RONO AQUA SRL – as designers) won the contract because their bid met all technical and financial conditions and received the maximum number of points in the public procurement evaluation.

Locations featured in the project are marked in red.

Companies will be able to carry out complex work worth approximately 2.8 billion forints in Bistrița, Cușma, Bistrița Bârgăului and Lechința in order to restore the reliability of the outdated network.

The consortium's specialists have two years to complete the complex work, which will involve renovating reinforced concrete structures (basins, shafts, foundations), modernise the steel and hydromechanical structures, carry out mechanical installations, install electrical equipment and control technology components, and restore the affected land and roads.
