The local authority had already carried out the demolition work using its own resources before the site was handed over.

According to public procurement data /a. The Kecel-based company is carrying out the project in the town near Kecskemét under contract number TOP Plusz, with a net contract value of 230 million forints.

The Graboplast sports flooring is being installed in the gym

According to the details in the notice, a building with a usable floor area of 620 square metres is to be constructed next to the school in Kunszállás, comprising a gym and ancillary rooms.

The former section of the building will be a hall with a steel structure and sandwich-panel cladding and roofing. This will be complemented by the service section (changing rooms, washrooms, equipment store, plant room, medical room, etc.), which will feature a masonry vertical load-bearing structure and a flat roof.

From a structural engineering perspective, a 2 cm expansion joint will be left between the two sections of the building. According to the public procurement contract, Graboplast Grabo Extreme 8 mm sports flooring has been specified for the gym. Heating and cooling will be provided by a modern heat pump system.

Another major investment project has recently been completed

Based on a previous article by baon.hu , the municipality’s largest investment to date is set to begin. According to a statement issued in February by Mayor Roland Márk Almási, the local council had already carried out the demolition work on the site next to the school using its own resources, prior to the handover of the work site.

According to estimates, the construction work will take around 14 months.

The town has recently completed a construction project of at least equal significance: on 10 February the public access road connecting Kunszállás to the M5 motorway, which runs just 400 metres away, was handed over; its decades-long history was previously covered in our newspaper.
