Huge renovation of the gas network in and around the capital starts
The history of gas supply in the capital dates back to 1855. Almost 170 years have passed since then, and today the capital and its surroundings are almost entirely covered by a gas pipeline network, which is a huge task to maintain regularly, but one that is much needed. MVM Főgáz Földgázhálózati Kft. has launched a consumer mains cap replacement programme, for which it is looking for a partner to carry out repair and maintenance work. The task consists of three parts:
- Part 1: Buda and its surroundings
- Part 2: North Pest and surroundings
- Part 3: South Pest and surroundings
The successful tenderer Vabeko Kft. will be responsible for the execution of substructure repair and/or maintenance works for MVM Főgáz Földgázhálózati Kft. as the Contracting Authority on the existing (operating) gas distribution network of various diameters, materials and pressures for the consumer mains replacement programme. Among others:
- pavement demolition,
- earthwork,
- finishing works,
- installation of temporary ancillary facilities.
Buda and surroundings
In the gas network in the MVM service area, the following areas require work in the first phase:
- Districts I, II, III, XI, XII, XXI and XXII of Budapest,
- Nagykovácsi,
- Budakeszi-Szanatórium street,
- Piliscsaba,
- Pilisjászfalu,
- Remeteszőlős,
- Szigetszentmiklós (holiday resort).
According to the design documentation provided by MVM, the works are required to be carried out in the planned quantities as specified below:
- a total of around 650 point jobs,
- around 20-30 projects at street level.
Quantity of works expected to be called simultaneously by the contracting authority
- 50 point jobs,
- 10 street sections in an area with dense public utilities (city with over 150,000 inhabitants).
North Pest and surroundings
In the second part of the task, the winner will have to work on the gas network in the following areas:
- Districts IV, V, VI, VII, XIII, XIV, XV and XVI of Budapest,
- Chömör.
According to the design documentation provided by MVM, the following planned quantities of works are required:
- around 650 point jobs,
- around 20-30 projects at street level.
Quantity of works expected to be called simultaneously by the contracting authority
- 50 point jobs,
- 10 street sections.
South Pest and surroundings
In the third phase, work is required on the gas network in the following areas:
- Districts VIII, IX, X, XVII, XVIII, XIX, XX and XXIII of Budapest,
- Bénye,
- Mushrooms,
- Jászfelsőszentgyörgy,
- Cava,
- Nagykáta,
- Pánd,
- Pécel,
- Sülysáp,
- Saint Martin's Day,
- Szentlőrinckáta,
- Tápióbicske,
- Tápióság,
- Tápiószecső,
- Tóalmás,
- Uri.
