In addition, embankment foundations and widening are underway to lay the foundations for the future construction of the temporary track structure.

New information has been released regarding preparations for the expansion of the M1 motorway, according to the latest social media post by Magyar Koncessziós Infrastruktúra Fejlesztő Zrt. According to the latest social media post, preparatory work not affecting the main road has been ongoing since last autumn.

As we have described in detail several times, the overall investment will include the widening of the M0-Bicske section (until 31 August 2028) and the Bicske-Conco break section (until 31 August 2029) to 2×3 lanes, with the provision of stop lanes for temporary traffic.

The pile was decided on the basis of thorough geotechnical studies

According to the situation report just published, more than 300 piles will be drilled to a depth of 10.5 metres in the areas to be expanded, where necessary. Work is currently under way near the Harkályos rest area to help ensure that the bank of the bank, which is designed by experts with a sloping slope, is supported. This actually means that the "earth bank" will be sloped and grated to ensure that the earth remains stable on its own, and additional support will be applied if necessary to ensure stability.

"In the past, during the construction of the M1 motorway, a significant mass of earth moved along this section, which is why this pile was designed after thorough geotechnical investigations," the post reads.

In addition, embankment foundations and widening are underway, following the construction of a temporary track structure on these embankments:

Thanks to this, during the widening of the Hegyeshalom side, traffic will be able to use 2+2 lanes in both directions on the Budapest side.
